retribution...

Sigh*
And I thought the Realestate wanted me out of their hair. Here I am gettign ready to move found the perfect property with anothe realestate(it looks clean and maintained! Never seen that before!).

And what do they do??
They tell the new realestate things that are quote: "Told me Horrifying things about you."
So of course they won't have us. >='(

....I'm thinking my being civil, polite, reasonable, doing the right thing by myself and her(scrubbing walls and completely cleaning the previous property.) is maybe not the way to do things. She is at fault for not keeping the property and it's inclusions in good condition and working order, she got caught, sued and still wouldn't fix anything I had to phone government agencies to get her to fix things, I've avoided Legal action until absolutely necessary.
Maybe I should've just sued her broke in the first place.
Maybe then she'd sort herself out.

I'm certainly not going to move out until I find a place to live that is not under her leathery wings. Being nice didn't work, suing didn't work, complaining to the government and it's various agencies worked.

Idiots.

the rise of living costs= the downfall of 'economy'

This 'economic' crisis is a product of it's own cause.
It's not 'oil' prices or People not buying their own countries produce and products.
It's people simply not being able to.

It talks about living costs compared to other areas, Newyork compared to Chicago and Washington.
And the biggest Problem is housing.

Has any research been done like that here? I'm going to find out.
It's rediculous, If price of housing and fuel go up, people are going to spend less at the shops and bunker down.

EG: I'm paying $250 a week rent, I'm on Centrelink and so is my Father(DSP) and that's a huge chunk out of our payments. We don't do much anyway.
But considering the 'condition' of this property I should be paying a lot less.
IF things like rates on loans, and essential services were lowered in 'times of crisis', the economy would recover a lot faster than when Essential service providers have their prices jacked up in order to 'ride out the economy'.

But if the economy relies on people buying things, should essential services and accommodation be made cheaper? or better, subsidized temporarily by government?

My Ass on the wall.


Yesterday I received an Entry notice that the Owners were coming to do maintenance.


They did not.


They wanted to see what needed fixing for when they moved in.


We(My father and I) are expected to live happily with leaking toilets, with breathing grease trap and flooded trenches. But they can't?





When Me and my father told them about the real estate, they said this.


"It's not our problem, we didn't do anything the real estate are in full control."


I told her "$250 a week is a bit much to pay for things that don't work"


I was told "Well you picked it, and you chose to pay it."





So they have no intention of fixing anything still and I can be certain from their evasive attitude and the excuse of 'we live so far away, real estate are in full control." is that Real estate is acting entirely on their instructions.


Still suing.

Last night there was a mad rush to clean everything, had a friend over who helped and everything. The lessors agent had affirmed in court that the walls were so filthy because the previous owners were heavy smokers and the walls could not be cleaned properly ever.


So I put an ass on the wall.


It's been there for some time, and now here it is on my blog.


hohoho, good thing no one reads this.

I Just how dangerous are the streets of Denmark?

Day off? Haw!

Today is supposed to be a day off,
Once I clean the dishes it should be because floors were scrubbed yesterday. And I felt terrible yesterday.

Got Dad his script, and got mine for my blood pressure and stuff and the doctor going through my records, asked if I had "been tested lately?".
So now I have to go through more blood tests(free biscuit?) to see if i have Cushings Syndrome.

I was also weighed for the first time since highschool and I weigh the same as I did in Highschool, an unhealthy 110kg, huh, why don't the clothes fit? I have clothes from last year and if I weigh the same as I did in highschool why don't they fit? The school scale must've been 10kg out.
But that's something most people can't say at least: "I weigh the same as I did in highschool."

I have to get onto my property agent about sewer leak in the toilet.

Speaking of them, I rented this property to use the green house(now a dangerous structure) and for it's solar hot water system(which is not in the sun) and i'm told "they are amicable and they don't have to use them."
Then what the hell am I paying for? I'm renting this place for the green house and to save money on solar hotwater, not to spend money running the booster all the time.
And I'll probably be told I'm being rediculous AGAIN.
How am i being rediculous? It was advertised it was presented, I paid for those advertised and presented conditions and I was told I'm being rediculous for expecting it?

I think this is starting to become a question of who has the dominant reality.

Speaking of realities, James has the flick. I'm not helping him with his BSA course anymore. He can find someone else to help him read and write.
He is rude, I've checked 3 times with 3 different groups of people to make sure what he said was rude.
And all persons volunteered the advice of ditching him.
I know I don't get out much, and he'd told me in the past I'm "Over reacting". But nope, this time I've checked and his welcome is throttled and he's done it himself.

Double posting because I haven't posted for a while and it's sometimes best to keep things seperate.

Food Motivates

Had quite a trip this week, First there was Art class at the RSL. I got sick off of what little fumes there were again.
Next day I went to Centrelink still Sick, Dizzy and a bit nauseous.
Then MRI Day at the P.A hospital on Thursday.
I went looking for a trade/general tool store so I could pick up carpenters Pencils and knee pads for dad so he didn't hurt his knees while kneeling.

From the accumulation of being dizzy and not quite all there from the previous days, I was (am still am a bit today) very, very dizzy. I walked from Buranda station to Stones corner, huh. Stones corner, oh well, back the otherway to wollongabba, huh, no tool store here.
Came across a store called "ASIAN STORE", it had a big table of Shin ramYun(Yum!) out the front, huh no prices, oh well back to the PA.
The Reason I was wondering around was because I had gotten to the PA 3 hours early. I was coherent enough to realise that but not enough to remember "huh, I can pick them up on the way home at a more convinient place and pace."

The MRI is not something I want to do again. At least not while I'm dizzy/delarrious, It reminded me incredibly of that movie "Brazil (With Robert Deniro and Micheal Palin)",
The music on the headphones was the Same as in the movie, the MRI Console Operator looking like someone from Brazil.
And everything just sounded and looked like Brazil, the MRI was even coloured like brazil.

The MRI is quite small, not what you see in the movies or TV, although I did expect it to be bigger. Htey had a brace for my shoulder to hold it in place to 'center' it for the MRI pictures, which budged me to the side so i had to have my arm above my head and ended up getting cramps.
I bet I could've fit without it but then how would they center my shoulder?

Afterwards I was told great! good job! I didn't ask what it meant i just was happy to go home.
I went to wollongabba and stonescorner again because i couldn't remember if i had or not my head wasn't swimming any more it was close to drowning.
I had moments of coherentcy inbetween eating, after I ate something I would feel better for about 20 minutes before it would start again.

But I still got the knee pads and pencils and even had dinner at the serve yourself China hot food place. What ever was in that food, made me feel better for at least an hour.
I picked the sweet and sour pork, sesaeme honey chicken, hokkein noodles, fried noodles, black bean beef, chicken and vegie.
And I Jammed all those samples into the small serving box.

Went home, tried to cook dinner, couldn't went to bed, got up because I was so dizzy I couldn't sleep took 2 painkillers and then was out like a light and not feelin much better the next day.
And after all that I forgot to tell my Property/lessors agent that there is still sewer gas leaking in the toilet.
It better not be that which is making me sick, because the dizzyness is on the increase.

Food is motivating.

Meaty

Poor PeTA, tsk, tsk tsk.
No of course they don't mean to offend anyone, they just discriminate. Not everyone understands the difference.
PeTA has made a suggestion for the Meat ad campaigns in Australia, In stead of:
"Meat-you'd be silly not to eat it."
Peta Suggests: "Meat- It's what's rotting in your bowels."
PeTA has made other comments such as, "Jurassic tastes", "pimp", "the Meat industry of the cause of Bowel cancers and harden arteries" and...
"Meat habit will be the cause of the extinction of us all"

So that Decides it, PeTA will inherit the earth.

But as Usual, PeTA is late, These ad's had have been going on for quite sometime....

Now If the government can extend such support to a citizen in prison on death row, why can't they do the same for our citizens in Bali?
Sure they're possible Drug mules but they're OUR drug mules, Let them rot in our jails.

If we arrested a Bali Person for Drug Trafficking they'd get a ticket home and handed over to their authorities.
If we arrested them(Bali Person) then put them to firing squad there would be a national outcry about how unfair it is they not be sent home.

tsk tsk tsk, this is either selective interest or in equal treatment. but that's alright, money and start secrets are involved heeeheehee

Sigh...

Haven't' been back here in ages, so tired in between paper work, organising stuff and occasionally working the garden and checking on seedlings.

Rooster has started crowing since last week, and he likes it, and he likes to hear himself crow. Not that i didn't expect him to crow I just didn't expect him to not shut up.
It started out with him crowing a little and once or twice then shutting up. that was alright, and it was only at 5am.

Now he starts at 2am-onwards. So now I've gotta get a sound proof cage so the neighbours don't complain. My neighbours aren't close they're pretty far away but still, They might not appreciate the distant sounds of a rooster and if i can make The sounds more distant all the better.

Right now he's in his carry cage at night, in the shed, with a blanket over him. It does dull the sound so i assume the neighbours can't hear him as well. I can't hear him so well through the glass door so i assume that's what the neighbours hear the ever distant crowing.

Sick to death of the realestate. If i had the money i'd certainly buy land and NOT from them.
PLace was filthy when we moved in, health hazards, and another one in the yard with a green house as rotten as a chop.

The noggin in the doorway is about to come down, so I rent this place to grow food and to start making snacks and selling them and I can't grow anything in the greenhouse.
IT's still better than the old place apart from teh health hazards and no hot water.

Gardens are over grown by 3 years it's goign to take a massive effort to get them back in order, There was a creeping Juniper which had a lable '1982', label was old enough to crumble when you picked it up, the plant had escaped it's pot(yes we found the pot which it was originally contained) and just allowed to grow wild.

Now for a fact the hot water doesn't work, we've made a decent effort to figure it out, and it does.not.work. the solar panels aren't facing the sun, the trees block the light anyway and it's a 30amp system hooked up to a 10amp breaks.
Genius.
A plumber came around from the realestate but never came back to check like he said he would.

I haven't had a responce in correspondance since the 6th of May 2009, so it's quite obvious she(lessors agent) doesn't give a shitt.
And I have to wait for the hearing in July to get it fixed.

Septic tank guy just came by, I ask him for his license numbers and he says "why do you need those?"
I said "well then why do you need them?"
"So I can do the job for the realestate, but why do you need them?"
"Well I like to keep records, and i'd Like if you didn't do any work until you get me your license numbers."
"so thats the way you want it,"(or words similar), "I'll let the realestate know".
It should've been "alright then I'll be back in a minute."
Why does he need to dob to teh realestate? Is this a form of bullying? "I'll do what I want or I'll dob on you?" approach. ahaha,

Anyway, Girl rats have built themselves something like an igloo. I thought they didn't have enough hay at first, there floor was bar and hardly any hay by the sides of teh cage, and then later on they've built this giant structure(with wee little fox holes everywhere) out of hay that seems to have materialised from somewhere...

And Devil damned I want hotwater.

At least when I go to court I can go to the state library, that'll be fun. and i can get some knitting done on the train.

still shifting stuff.

Moved two shelves and cleaned them down today.
Neck and bad arm are killing.

Dad said not to worry about scrubbing the walls. we can do them one room at a time later.

I still think the realestate should fix it, according to my rights, property and it's grounds, house and inclusions should all be clean, functioning and working.
And any repairs done.

The fence is getting done, that's a relief. But I still think the house should've been clean before we moved in, Pictures will be edited into the post later.

The good thing about this blogging thing is that I can keep records for myself. or make notes, it's handy(also, complain how I like.).

The only clean thing in this house is the stove. The lessors agent said she inspected the place herself and that the cleaners spent 11 hours here. 11 hours doing what? cleaning the stove? 11 hours on the stove alone? it must've been under 6 ft of grease.
There is grease up the walls of one of the kitchens, the rest of the kitchen walls are tainted from it. I cleaned one strip of wall just to see what it would look like.
The walls, are supposed to be white and they're yellow, stained from it.

The lessors agent talks to me of maintenance of a shower curtain, a curtain rod, and a few broken sticks, but she can't see grease on the walls? she can't see a toilet that has been uncleaned for what i assume to be more than 3 months(scummed beneath the waterline, but can't take a picture because it's been used before the camera was unpacked).

She acts as if she's running a charity and that I'm 'privileged' to be under her wings as a tenant. What I understand realestate to be is a Buisness, They supply a service which i pay for, a service being: Accomodation, maitainence of that accomodation.
She might not even understand that a tenant is her reason to being, she wouldn't be able to be superior if she had no tenants in the first place.

I sent a Remedy breach form in, IF she is so concerned of maitainence let her prove it. She certainly had no problem with broken lights, no curtain rod brackets, or no shower curtains while we were in there. Her interest has been aroused by the now availibility of my bond money.

If I can help it, she's not getting a cent, how dare she charge me for fair wear and tear on a property she cared not to maintain. Property is listed again, and she's used original photo's from before any tenancy, certainly photo's from before my tenantcy.

been meaning to

I've had my mind to start a blog for some time,
Not sure what to write in one, I hardly do anything interesting(at least to other people, likw the cool fungus that grows around here that looks for all the world like coral.)

So, I've decided to put up a current event, actually happened a week ago.
But it will go on for some time.

I'm having trouble with my Rental, and ex-rental. Now there is a disagreement, I've posted a letter I wrote (names excluded to protect privacy of others.) and it now begs the question, is this a rude letter? In a response I was accused of 'dictating', 'criticism', and 'telling her how to run her job', and I was in no place to 'make suggestions'.

This letter was written on the 3rd April 2009, I received reply on 14th April 2009:

In regards to 24 ____st,

There was no shower curtain before we moved in, Fly screens are as they were when we moved in (aged and holed). Curtain rod bracket was not screwed into anything. A great big plastic screw in plaster is not secure enough to hold a curtain rod long term. It was knocked out while taking the curtain rod down.

I suggest when handyman comes to stick brackets back into the wall(which I will not pay for) that he looks for a beam/post within the wall and SCREW them in with screws into the beam or post which is solid and more stable than 15mm plaster.

Any photo's you have are not photo's taken of the property when we moved in, EG there was a big bright blue circle where a patch repair had been done, My father: previous tenant had fixed (replastered the wall) that and colour matched the paint. There was also a similar hole in the lounge room on the right that had been poorly repaired which my dad repaired for free.

According to ____ up the road previous tenants were boisterous persons who left cars on property when moving(whom i have met on occasion and they still think it's funny that the realestate had to move them).
We heard a lot about them when we first moved in.

Phone line: Also. I will look at my own records(when I can unpack them) and see if I did pay for anything. If i did I expect payment.


Regarding the keys, if you are going to charge me for extra keys because the owner was too lazy to supply a correct copy(or check that they were correct) of which I had copy cut from your office, I will contest this.

Owner is obligated to supply the correct keys, you are obligated to ensure they are the correct keys. I would not have wasted my money($15.93) if I had tested them out before hand and not taken your word for it.
How can I get correct copies if you fail to have them?
Do not take it out of the bond.

And I suggest you check the rest of the keys for other tenants to avoid this in future(easily done on routine inspections.)

Wall feature stick/trough:
Sticks were already broken and some split when we arrived. I suggest they be replaced with white curtain rods metal ones that don't degrade after time. Those sticks have been there for a very long time. They are degraded and degrading.

Most of 'concerns' on 24 ______ st, are the result of choice of poor quality materials:

Cheap sticks: Painted poorly, not suitable for their function, hence the splitting and degradation. They are over 3 years old(before we moved in,) (Wood naturally rots). Even proper hardwood doweling would've lasted longer.

Cheap curtain bracket: Not screwed into a post, was knocked out of plaster when curtain rod was being taken down.

Curtain rods are fine, as they are made of metal and 'slid in' to each other. Where the brackets fell down were filled in properly so there are no holes in the walls. curtain rods were placed correctly with their correct windows on their brackets or windowsill or beneath windowsill.

I suggest any repairs made are made with materials from a tradestore and not from Bunnings. Also I suggest a trades person carry out repairs and not a 'handyman'(an unqualified person) who is no doubt behind the current 'Bunnings' materials at 24________ st.

Any further concerns please do no hesitate to contact. 24________ street was left in the best condition possible for it.

This is the letter I received in reply.

A___, in relation to your letter, firstly regarding the keys, the original owner did supply the correct set of keys, which was given to you, and you have lost, so you will replace. I will take the $15.93 off the price of getting new locks installed, there has been two owners and three managers since you moved in ,so whether or not the original owner gave correct keys to the office is not for you to critiscise or tell us how to run our jobs, or suggest anything else,
Cheap sticks: have not rotted they are broken, one was already broken when you went in, the other must have broken while you were in there, maybe by leaning something against it, I can only suggest as well.
Curtain Rods: I also have photos of the house damaged by tenants before you and there were curtain rods showing in them that look like they were hanging fine, except for the yellow room where the curtain rod was resting on the window sill, so you will have to pay for at least the curtain rod in one room to be fixed, as you said "it was knocked out while taking the curtain rod down", obviously worked fine for two and a half years or more while you were there.
The Shower Curtain: are you telling me that you never had a shower curtain over the bath, which meant that the water would have been going all over the floor, and your so smart obviously you of all people should know that it would have eventually rotted the floor, or did you never shower, a shower curtain will be replaced.
also I have not mentioned the light in the kitchen, at all, so I do not know why you are going on about that,
as for the tap at Kurrajong, I can only log the call with a plumber I can not tell him when to get there, so why dont you whinge to him not me, you would be one of my worst tenants, I dont know why I bothered putting you in another one of my houses, you are lucky to have a roof over your heads, I know you tried a few other places and had no luck, before coming back to us, I wanted you out of the other house and to do so I put you into this one because it had a double garage and I thought all your junk could be stored out there but after driving past your house the other day, it looks like a junk yard, and the owners are not impressed. we were the only ones that took you in, and your dictating to us what you wont pay for now? I think I have been very lenient on asking for some things replaced or fixed. I would appreciate it if you stopped dictating to me then I would be more inclined to answer your emails and get on with my job

Now, this the response I received.
I disagree with her, and I'm not fixing anything, a lot of things weren't fixed when we moved in and she wants me to fix other things now? What's one more downed stick or Curtain rod bracket?
She certainly has an interest in repairs now that I've moved out and the Bond Money is sitting in the RTA waiting for collection.

I more I speak to her the more it occurs she knows less about houses than I assume. Example: when she said the water would rot the floor in the bathroom.

A bathroom should by rights be water proof, if the floor rotted through the tiles and grout that again would be bad worksmanship.

In the mean time, I'm going to have to try scrub the walls of my new house, rented out also by her which is filthy.
